To rent you need the following documents:
- the driver's passport (it is necessary to draw up a rent contract, as well as it will be needed during your trip — policemen may ask it to check the period of stay in the country);
- driver license (original). The internal driving license of your country or international ones will do. Your internal driving license may be used in the Dominican Republic for a month;
- debit or credit card for a deposit. (Optional, can pay deposit with cash) The card must be issued for the driver's name. Otherwise, the cardholder's details are entered into the rental contract.
We can provide a car transfer to your hotel or airport.
The cost of the transfer may vary depending on the distance of your location from our office.

The rental contract is usually made for one person. But it is possible to add additional drivers to it if someone else drives the car. The cost of this service is $9 per day for 1 additional driver.
When renting a car, you pick up your car using your debit or credit card, the rental agent will place a hold on funds in the bank account tied to the debit or credit card for a deposit. After the end of the rental period and the delivery of the car, the deposit is returned to your card in full.
We do this to make sure don't lose money if there are any problems during your rental. For example, if you return the car late, damaged or very dirty, we will hold on to some or all of your deposit. As well as making it possible to receive payment in case of renewal of the rental contract.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
DriveEz Car Rental S.R.L., a legal right grantee of DriveEz Car Rental, hereinafter referred to as the ¨Rental Company¨, agrees to rent a vehicle, hereinafter referred to as the ¨Car¨, as specified in the ¨Car Rental From¨, to the ¨Client¨, and the ¨Client¨ agrees to rent the ¨Car¨ From the ¨Rental Company¨, and where it is agreed that the ¨Car¨ means not only a vehicle, but the accessories and gadgets attached herewith, specified on the front page of the Agreement, and agreed as follows:
1) The Client agrees that he has selected by himself and taken the Car, and agrees that the CAR´s characteristics may dier from the reserved vehicle characteristics, including technical characteristics, engine power and productivity.
2) When concluding the Rental Agreement, the Client shall present a valid credit/debit card, international passport, and driver´s license, provided that it contains the information in Latin transcript. For a driver's license issued in Arabic/Japanese, or in any alphabet other than the English alphabet, the complementary international driving license is required.
3) Rental Company accepts: cash USD (US Dollar), DOP (Dominican peso), credit or debit cards. The payment shall be made in full in advance prior to the start of the rental. Checks are not accepted.
4) The Car is a property of the Rental Company, and the Rental Company keeps the Car in optimal conditions. The Client shall return the car in the same condition it was rented into the client in accordance with the ¨Car Rental From¨ executed at the moment of transfer-acceptance, with the indication of the place and date of transfer-acceptance. If the client has violated this agreement, the Rental Company may request the immediate return of the Car. If the client does not return the Car on the date of the expiration of the rental term, the Rental Company shall report the missing vehicle to the governmental agencies and shall be taking other legal actions in accordance to the procedures established by law, including stolen vehicle reporting and/or reporting of a misdemeanor, except where the Client has violated the agreement because of the circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the parties.
5) With regard to any damage caused to the car, the Client shall pay the repair costs and/or spare parts costs, in accordance with the terms of the insurance, as specified in the "Car Rental Form" at the time of rental, provided the repair shall be done exclusively by the Rental Company.
6) The Client agrees to reimburse the price of fuel in the amount needed to refill the tank in case the Car has been returned with less fuel than at the moment of execution of the ¨Car Rental Form¨, in addition to payment of service fee according to the current rate of USD$ per gallon needed to refill the tank.
7) No smoking and no pets are allowed in the Car. If the Client returns the Car with tobacco odor, excessive pet hair or any other excessive dirt, or in a condition where the Car requires an extra cleaning, the Client Will be assessed an extra cleaning, charge and washing charge according to the Rental Company's rates: 50$ for cleaning and/or 50$ for smoking.
8) Driving cars of economy, standard, sport categories o-road or through rugged terrain is prohibited. In case of inappropriate use of the Car, the client shall be charged a fee of $100.
9) The Client is prohibited from driving the Car in the state and out of the state.
10) Under no circumstances shall the Car be used: a) for the carriage of drugs, explosives, or other prohibited substances; b) for any illegal purpose in violation of Dominican Republic legislation; c) by persons who are under the age of 18, or by persons who provide false document information d) for racing contests, speed testing or drifting, e) to propel or tow any other vehicles or trailers; f) While the Car is overloaded because of the number of passengers exceeds the number of passengers ocially permitted car registration documents g) by any person other than the client or an additional driver who is authorized by the Client, and who is provided a valid driver’s license, with no endorsements; h) By any person while being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other prohibited substances
11) There is no mileage limit on any Car rentals, regardless of the number of rental days.
12) Law Insurance (LW) coverage is included in the base Car rental payment, LW covers the damages to third party property and third party´s injuries sustained as a result of an accident while the Client is operating the Car, provided that the Client has not violated the agreement of Dominican Republic legislation. The minimum insurance coverage and its limits are provided by law. Under Law Insurance policy, the Client shall immediately report the accident to the local police and to the Rental Company, and provide the Rental Company and/or insurance agent with the police report, describing the respective accident. In case of the accident, the Client is responsible for the bail bond and/or the monetary penalties payment.
13) Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) CDW partially waives the Client's responsibility in case of a collision, and is included in the base Car rental payment. The non- insurance minimum Deductible, as specified on the front page of the Car Rental Form', shall be paid by the Client in case of damage or collision. The Rental Company does not accept the insurances issued by credit card companies, banks and other organizations
14) Full Car Insurance does not cover the breakdowns caused as a result of using the wrong fuel, flat tire, driving through deep puddles (up to the center of the wheel), or the Car flooding. The Client confirms that he has read and agreed to the Taris provided on the website or in the oce of the Rental Company.
15) Any type of insurance, except Full Car Insurance will not cover losses and damages caused by natural disasters, such as: fallen trees and/or the parts of the tree (branches, coconuts) as well as damage caused by animals and birds
16) Breakdown, assistance. The Rental Company shall provide the Client with the Car in proper working condition. Technical assistance service is included in the base Car rental payment: in case of the tire punters, fuel failures, loss of the Car´s keys, etc. the Rental Company provides the technical specialist assistance to the Client within 20 km of the renting location without any additional charge. If a breakdown or problem is caused not because of the Client failure and/or in case where the technical specialist assistance is needed further than 20 km of the renting location additional charge applies. All the replacement parts/fuel/tire repairs shall be paid separately, unless otherwise set forth in the ¨Car Rental Form', The Client can get a free road assistance service provided by ¨Ministério de Obras Públicas y Comunicaciones¨ (MOPC), which is available on the majority of roads in the Dominican Republic.
17) Loss of the ignition key is not covered by insurance and the Client shall pay to the Rental Company the full cost of the ignition key replacement in case of its loss or damage. The cost of the ignition key replacement is set by the Rental Company and may vary from $30 to $200 depending on the type of the key.
18) If the Client added Full Car Insurance and has violated this Agreement or law (including the cases of driving under the influence of alcohol or other prohibited substances) these coverages will not be valid. In this case, the Client is fully liable for the losses and damages.
19) The Client agrees that the damage to the Car or third Parties caused due to the Client's negligence or failure, which is not covered by the insurance or exceeds the insurance coverage limit, shall be reimbursed at his own risk and expense and will be paid at the time of termination of the agreement, as well as compensation for loss of profit.
20) Replacement car will be provided in case of breakdown, need for repair or for other reasons. The Rental Company will replace the Car free of charge, if the breakdown is caused by the Rental Company failure. In the event that the Rental Company has no cars available for replacement, the Client will get a refund for the remaining days of Rental period.
21) Car availability. When a reservation with no prepayment is made, the Rental Company agrees to use reasonable best eorts to provide the Car for rent but does not guarantee its availability. When a prepaid reservation is made, the Car is guaranteed to be available during the rental period, except the cases of unforeseen circumstances beyond the parties' control.
22) In case where the Car is not available on the start date of the rental term, the Rental Company shall provide the Client with another car of the same class at no additional charge.
23) Changes to reservations. The Client may request any changes to the reservation no later than 48 hours prior to the rental start time.
24) Reservation cancellation. A reservation can be canceled no later than 48 hours prior to the rental start time. The payment made towards the rental will be refunded except the terminal commission and/or exchange rate paid. In the event that a reservation is canceled less than 48 hours prior to the rental star time or in the cancellation due to the Client's failure Client (the client has not provided a valid driver's license, passport, deposit, or the Client has not arrived to the rental location at the rental start time), the rental charge shall be withheld in full, but in the amount not exceeding the rental charge for 3 days.
25) The Client undertakes not to sublet the Car to someone else. In the event that the Car is subleased to a third part, the Client shall be charged with a fine of 100$. In case of any accidents, the Client agrees to reimburse in full the repair costs, spare parts and accessories replacement costs, as the insurance does not cover the persons other than identified in the "Car Rental Form".
26) When the Car is returned at the oce of the Rental Company, no additional fees apply. When the Car is returned at the airport or other rental/return location, additional charge may apply. The client may choose to return the Car by leaving it in the Rental Company parking lot at any time, provided that the keys were left at the oce and the Rental Company has been notified about the return in a timely manner. If the returned Car has passed the inspection performed by the Rental Company, a deposit shall be returned during the period of time as agreed by the parties.
27) The cost of transfer from/to the Rental Company parking lot to/from the hotel or any other place of car return may vary from $20 (Bavaro area- Punta Cana) to 100$ (Santo Domingo National Airport). Extra charges may apply for transfers to other areas. No additional fees shall apply in case picking up and return of the Car takes place at the oce of the Rental Company.
28) In the event the Client has authorized payments with credit or debit card, the Rental Company has the right to charge the card with no need for the Client to physically present the card in the amount of the rental fee, including the charges for additional options, accessories and damage compensation, provided that the Client has been informed about the total payment amount.
29) If the Client provides the instructions for a tax invoice to be sent to a third party, and the third party has not paid in a timely manner, the Client shall make a payment in the amount reflected on the tax invoice upon request of the Rental Company.
30) It is the Client's responsibility to collect personal items or items of any other person at the moment of the Car return. The Rental Company is not responsible for keeping lost personal Items.
31) During the period when the Client possesses the Car, he undertakes to report any incident violations to the Rental Company, and the Client shall immediately pay the monetary penalties imposed for a violation of the laws, the road trac rules or any other regulations. The Client is responsible for third party claims arising out of these violations.
32) The Client agrees to keep the Car in a proper Condition and to leave the Car locked and parked in the safe place when he isn't using it (at hotel parking space or any other secure parking) the Client immediately notify the Rental Company of the theft or damages done to rental Car.
33) The Client agrees that in the event of the Car seizure by the local government agencies as a result of the Client's violation of the law of the Dominican Republic, including the law on drugs and controlled substances in the Dominican Republic, the Client shall compensate the Rental Company for the full value of the car in addition to reimbursement for lost profit, provided the client is informed with the detailed description of the total reimbursement amount.
34) The rights of the Rental Company can´t be suspended, except otherwise publicly stated by an authorized representative of the Rental Company.
35) In the event where the Rental Company has to file a lawsuit against Client, the Client is responsible for paying legal expenses and costs.
36) The Client authorizes the Rental Company to provide information relating to the Agreement to the credit information companies in the manner prescribed by law. The Client agrees that it is necessary to acquire, process and keep the Client's personal information in order for the Rental Company to accurately process the rental payment.
37) The Client agrees that the Rental Company will use the Client's personal information for the purposes of the Car reservation and rent, including the contact details, which may be used For marketing purposes, i.e. for sending the Rental Company's product or service oers directly, or for the purposes of conducting marketing surveys. The Client may modify or delete personal information included in a database of the Rental Company provided a written request has been sent to the Rental Company after the end of rental period. The Rental Company is released from liability for personal information disclosure in the exceptional cases prescribed by the law No. 172-13 on comprehensive protection of personal data in article 5 'Base principles of the law¨ p. 6 ¨Duty not to disclose", that is in case where disclosure is required to be made pursuant to court order.

Santo Domingo - Colonial Zone
The Dominican Republic is not only beautiful beaches, but also a centuries-old history and culture. The first temple, the first street and the first university in the entire Western Hemisphere appeared in the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo.
Here you will find many museums. As well as home of Diego Columbus and the first temple of the New World, where the ashes of Christopher Columbus were found. Old streets with a wide variety of souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes.
Near the colonial zone, there are many hotels where you can spend the night. In the evening it is very atmospheric and you may not want to drive back to the hotel at night.
Samana Province
Samana Province is located on the northern peninsula of the Dominican Republic.
Possibly one of the busiest places to travel.
The road to Samana itself is very beautiful and picturesque.
The famous El Limon waterfall. There is car parking nearby. You have to climb to the waterfall on mules and go on foot (There are many locals who will offer you an escort service to the waterfall).
